Pine Magazine embodies the purest of intentions towards interesting, fair, accurate and original articles focused news, art, music, opinion and fiction. We’re small but quite determined to produce articles and conduct interviews people want to read.
Since our launch in July 2006, we’ve published approximately 200 articles, pieces and interviews. Several of our articles have appeared or was referenced in other notable publications and sites, such as the Huffington Post, and our news and culture pieces has shown up in course packs for college classes, including the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, New York University and Georgia State University. We’ve hosted or sponsored about 50 shows featuring bands such as the Black Lips, T Model Ford, the Coathangers and tons others. In 2009, we were named the Critic’s Choice for best Atlanta-based online music magazine by the alternative weekly Creative Loafing.
Pine is based in Atlanta, Ga., and Evening Press is Pine’s parent company. We are always open to ideas, suggestions, comments, criticism, gifts, money, complaints and links to fun stuff. We’re always up for pitches and submissions too.
